During the release of the sixth Harry Potter book, I photographed several bookstore parties. I felt that this transmutation of the "fan", from the traditional movie release pandemonium to the now book release costume and all night party represented a significant moment in popular culture. The color photographs were then used in my personal framing devices, through stitching and sewing the pictures into the wood I attempted to commemorate this strange new form of culture and tradition.
